I grew up in Webster, New York, which is twenty minutes outside of Rochester. In August 2017 I graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Photographic and Imaging Technology, with a concentration in Biomedical Photographic Communications and an immersion in Criminal Justice.
Studying macro photography and photomicrography at RIT helped me to develop my problem solving and technical photography skills. Although I focused on the scientific side of photography, I also gained a core understanding of the fundamentals of photography as a whole. This includes studio photography, videography, and photograph and video editing using the Adobe Creative Cloud. I am proficient in Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, and InDesign, and I have some experience using Adobe Premiere and Illustrator.
In my free time I enjoy hiking, kayaking, and traveling. Studying abroad in Italy was one of the best experiences that I have ever had. For one month I got to explore the beautiful cities of Rome, Florence, and Venice, while learning about their culture in and out of the classroom. Traveling made me more culturally aware, and gave me a deeper appreciation of my own country and the many cultures that make it unique.
I’m always looking for my next adventure.
